The report shows 78% of non-managerial IT professionals who received training felt more effective at their jobs (with 84% of their managers concurring). It also divulges a positive impact on salaries for employees who received training and subsequently earned certifications.
"Professionals who had earned an IT or project management certification during the last five years earned an average of $5,242 more [annually] than their counterparts," reveals the report.
This means for every 10 years in the industry, those who invest time and money to train and earn certifications can expect $52,420 more income than those who don't. (This jumps to $157,000+ more over the course of a 30-year career!)
